Somatic Healing

One to one.

My work is to facilitate self-healing and development of self-awareness so that you can live a more present and embodied experience. By integrating physical, emotional, and psychological processes that unfold gradually, this will allow you to explore your somatic experiences at your own pace. Directing attention to your bodily experiences and associated feelings, emotions, thoughts and beliefs, we can create a connection between the unconscious and conscious material we all have. Together we can discover where you have come to disconnect from self and how to re-member your true essence. In these one to one sessions I work differently to a talk therapist - I am here to guide you and support you in walking through your own unique process. Only you are experiencing your life, but I can help you learn to feel your way through it rather than thinking your way through it.

One to one sessions are 1.5hrs to allow plenty of time for what wants to unfold. They can be held in person or online if you prefer the comfort of your own space.

Group work.

A somatic healing container is a transformative group experience that offers a safe and supportive environment, where participants can explore their body sensations, emotions, and experiences in the presence of others, connecting and co regulating.

Through somatic practices, individuals can deepen their understanding of the mind-body connection, developing a greater level of self-awareness and reconnecting to their inner-self. When we can learn to listen to our body and the wisdom it holds we can build our self trust, cultivating both a sense of agency and autonomy, enabling us to make more empowered choices that reflect our true selves and enhance our personal decision-making. By exploring the reasons behind our emotions and behaviours, both conscious and unconscious, we develop a deeper understanding of ourselves and our needs and how to ask for them to be met in a healthy way.

I find a small group of 8 to 10 people offers the opportunity to build authentic connections and trust among participants. Often finding validation in shared experiences, helping to reduce feelings of isolation. Let's be honest, we have likely all felt at some point or another that we are the only ones going through what we're going through. This healing journey can feel like a lonely and at times confusing path and yet we aren't meant to do this alone. With the group setting for this work I aim to encourage a sense of connection and community for mutual support. When we see others as a mirror, reflecting back to us where we cannot see otherwise, we can become each others allies in healing.

These are mostly held in-person, with a private online community group to stay connected. Groups are generally 2-3hrs a week and in terms of 8 consecutive weeks at a time.
